When God gives us the privilege to know Him and to experience His presence in our lives, we can be sure that He loves us. Nothing on this planet compares to the peace we have in God. We humans often think that we’re in control of things, but it doesn’t take much of a catastrophe to prove us wrong.
Christ came into the world to save sinners, heal the hurting, and give peace to the troubled. Our emotions and self-seeking pride often get in the way of realizing His tremendous love for us. As we learn to obey Him, we learn how fulfilling it can be to trust Him.
Life throws us many curves, but as we rest in God’s mercy and grace we can overcome the obstacles that we face. Nothing takes the place of real inner peace. You don’t have to spend much time reading or watching the news to see just how empty and hopeless many people are. Suicides, murders, abuse and addictions are the expression of a hopeless struggle. Even Christians are plagued by the effects of hopelessness, if they do not continually look to God for help and direction. For some believers the struggle seems more severe, because they just can’t understand why God allowed them to face the issue which seems so devastating. But we are told by the Apostle Paul that God’s grace is more than enough.
What a wonderful life we could have if we could learn to trust the Lord each day. Lay your cares and worries at Jesus’ feet, and move forward with a thankful heart. Begin each day with a prayer of thanksgiving. We will never get through this world without problems and troubles, but we will be able to have peace. Trust Christ; the giver of peace.

Things in this world are constantly changing, but God never does. He is the same no matter what major thing has gone off course or deviated from its normal status. Jesus has such an amazing stability, that even when we’re wrong he still loves us. He leads us with compassion to get us back on track. Then when it seems like he should just give up on us, he gives us still another opportunity to come back to him. Lean on the Lord. Trust Him always. You won’t be disappointed.

I’d like to put on this church and all its literature the warning that we are R-rated. That if you come to this church or communicate with us in anyway you will find that we are all about the R- rating in life and goals. That R would stand for RELATIONSHIP.
We as human beings crave relationships. Whether we find it at home, in a bar or in the church, we are made that way. The reason is because God created us for a relationship with Him and one another.
God wants me to have faith, live holy, speak the truth but most of all to
KNOW Him. The whole purpose of His Word is so that we can know Him and learn to be like He desires us to be.
Let’s begin to live our life in the church and out so that it will show the
R-rating Relationships are built. Begin today to work at it. With your family, friends and those who need you as much as you need them. What the world calls trouble and disaster can be also an opportunity for God to spread His love to others. The most devastating time in history was not when the church faced terrible persecution, but when the church persecuted others in the name of the Crusades. The things we see happening in our world now, such as war, natural disasters and economic traumas, are all things that the Bible said would happen. How we, the Christians, respond to these problems will have a direct affect on the growth and vision of the church. It should not surprise us that calamity comes to this world. But we should be the most prepared people on the planet when it comes to dealing with it. Not in terms of supplies and strategies for earthly survival, but survival of the soul, in a relationship with Christ. Our focus should be to help others find the peace and power we know in God. May the Christmas season spark the true meaning of Christ’s message in our hearts.

From the beginning of time, to our current age, God has always cared for and provided for mankind. Sometimes we fail to appreciate His great concern for us. When we were lost in sin Christ gave His life for us, before we knew about Him, or even cared. Now that He has found us, our relationship with Him is a mixing of current blessings and past experiences. Here at First Assembly of God in Dublin, we call ourselves the Church for the Lost and Found. We recognize the fact that we were hopelessly lost, but we know that God had to reveal that to us by His Spirit. Now that we are found we praise Him daily for His love and grace in our life.
So if you are lost, found, or not for certain about that concept at all, please give God a chance in your life. We live in a real world with real problems, but Christ is merciful and our door is open.
